It is of great importance to me to practice the art of giving back. In doing so, I honor the experience of those I love who have lost infants and children.
Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep
Four years ago, I was grateful to have my portfolio approved by NILMDTS, an organization that provides professional portraits to parents in their most difficult moments.
When a child is born ill, their whole lifetime is condensed into weeks, days, or even minutes. Parents’ entire scope of experience with their child is reduced to this short amount of time, and this experience often goes unrecognized. But these children are, and will always be, a part of their family. As an Affiliated Photographer with NILMDTS, it is both humbling and honoring to be called by a family to step into their lives, share in their grief, and gently capture precious memories of a child who will never grow up. These photographs are often the only tangible memories that families will have of their infants, and it is a wonderful gift to be able to provide them with professional quality images.
